My name is Valeriya and I am your Programme Manager for this course. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hello everyone,

I'm Frederick Way and, along with Gillian Caroe, I will be one of your two Lead Trainers for the upcoming Employment and Workplace Mediation Course. I'm greatly looking forward to working with you over the three days and welcoming you to the wonderful world of mediation!

A bit about me - I originally trained as a barrister, but moved early in my career into Mediation. I worked full time for CEDR running the CEDR Foundation (CEDR's charity and research arm) whilst also building my mediation and training practice. I now run my own mediation practice alongside working as a mediator on the CEDR panel and a Lead Trainer.

As a mediator, I work on civil, commercial and employment and workplace cases and I like the variety this brings. Within Employment and Workplace cases, I specialise in cases which are sensitive or serious - I do a lot of discrimination cases as well as disputes between senior executives - as well as wider team and board disputes.

I look forward to meeting you all in person and getting to share my enthusiasm for mediation with you!

Frederick

Hi Valeriya, Frederick and all,

I'm looking forward to meeting you all in a couple of weeks' time.

My name is Beth Callen, and I've been an independent executive coach for the last 5 years following a 20-year HR career in the corporate world.

It looks like it will be a fun and challenging 3 days together!

Thanks,

Beth

Hi everyone, I am Gemma Clayton, a leadership coach and HR consultant with over 20 years' experience working in HR roles across a range of organisations. I have decided to add another string to my bow with mediation, especially after sitting through more grievances and disciplinaries than I care to remember!

I'm working through the prep material now and looking forward to getting started in a few days. Thank you, Valeriya, for your support so far, and for your patience with my tech failings.

See you all soon. Gemma

Hi All,

Firstly Valeriya thank you for all the information you have shared so far and all the clear instructions.

My name is Kate Waterhouse, I am currently a CHRO for a mid sized company, I have worked in HR for the last 25 years and keen to undertake more mediation. I am looking forward to meeting everyone on Wednesday! Thank you Kate

Hi all,

Very much looking forward to the days ahead and to meeting you all.

I'm Nicolas, currently working for the United Nations World Food Programme. I am based in Senegal at the moment, supporting our regional operations in the West and Central Africa region. With a big part of our work focusing on contract negotiations with donors and partners, oftentimes across language and cultural barriers, I see this mediation training as an important way to better support our teams. Building on this experience, I am also working towards transitioning to the units within the UN that work on corporate ethics, compliance, and mediation, and I see this training as a key step in that direction.

See you all on Wednesday!

Nicolas
